Aerotek Forklift Operator in Chesapeake, Virginia

We are currently hiring for Industrial Forklift Operators in the Chesapeake, VA area on day shift!

Description: Forklift Operator

  • Will be operating industrial forklifts in the manufacturing yard.

  • Forklifts are between 22k-36k, and would prefer someone from an industrial environment or shipyard.

  • Will be responsible for operating the forklift to move finished concrete pipes from the plant's production line into the yard for inventory and also loading trucks with finished pipes to be sent out to their customers.

  • Previous experience operating large industrial forklifts (22k-35k forklift) is preferred.

  • Will be operating forklifts and assisting with other general labor duties in the yard as required.

  • Should have experience moving product/materials weighing as much as 12 tons in a timely manner

  • Will be required to lift up to 50 lbs at times.

Shift:

  • 6:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday

  • Summer Hours: 4:00am - 2:00pm, Monday-Friday

  • Need to be open to working overtime!
