ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  1. Assist underwriter with meeting or exceeding production goals as assigned by TAPCO.

  2. Function as subject matter experts for all account services requests through in-depth knowledge of in-house finance company information, premium payments and general policy support information to include cancellations and reinstatements of policies.

  3. Provide exceptional service through responding to in-house finance company requests, cancellations, reinstatements and general policy service support.

  4. Review and process new finance contracts ensuring complete information as required by company and regulatory guidelines.

  5. Quality standards and bind business upon payment receipt.

  6. Compare cancellations and reinstatements with state and carrier guidelines applying appropriate rules and regulations as a basis for the outcome.

  7. Determine alternative courses of action for cancellations and reinstatements that do not meet TAPCO guidelines and criteria.

  8. Perform various support functions to include proofing checks, reconciliation, paperwork preparation, payment reversals, payment postings and corrections, billing, process payments, and prepare memorandum communications.

  9. Maintain necessary licenses to produce business.

  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent education and related training or experience

  2. Three years of insurance experience or its equivalent

  3. Appropriate insurance experience

  4. Previous customer service experience

  5. Current state specific license required

  6. Must be able to understand and analyze necessary components of insurance policies

  7. Exceptional knowledge of state and carrier guidelines

  8. Must have ability to use company automation to include TAPSYS

  9. Ability to develop, foster, and maintain an excellent working relationship with agents, carriers and insureds

  10. Ability to work in a team environment essential

  11. Maintain current knowledge of the insurance industry

  12. Good written and verbal skills

  13. Ability to work extended hours

  14. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

  15. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
