Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Brunswick, Maine

Description We are seeking a Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team in Brunswick, Maine. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the HR department, including recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, and training/onboarding. You will be a key player in shaping our workplace culture and supporting our team's growth and development.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the recruitment process, from drafting job descriptions to conducting interviews and making hiring decisions

• Administering benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company offerings

• Managing employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, and performance improvement plans

• Designing and implementing training and onboarding programs for new employees

• Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal HR laws and regulations

• Conducting new employee orientations to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectives

• Offering counseling and support to employees when needed

• Overseeing the payroll process, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time

• Staying informed about HR law and advising management on changes that could impact our organization. Requirements

• Proven experience in Human Resources management with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role

• Demonstrable expertise in Compliance, Employee Relations, and Benefits Administration

• Skilled in Recruiting and Counseling Employees

• Experience in conducting new-Employee Orientations

• Proficient in Payroll management and HR Law

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals

• Excellent leadership and people management skills

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
