POSITION SUMMARY:
The General Maintenance A performs maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance. All work is completed in compliance with EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs electrical repairs on machinery.
Trains lower-level maintenance personnel.
Troubleshoots broken machinery and lubricates as needed.
Performs minor repairs of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Assists department finish monthly preventative maintenance.
ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Years of experience: Minimum 3+ years
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, lawn mowers and small hand tools
Effective written and oral communication skills
Able to work well with minimal supervision
Able to drive or learn to drive a forklift, tractor, etc.
Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
Strong electrical background with high voltage experience
Ability to be certified on forklifts and trucks
