EXACT STAFF Automation Technician in Bakersfield, California

We are currently seeking a Automation Technician for a food manufacturing company that specializes in bite-size potatoes in the Arvin area. You will be accountable to meeting daily and weekly automation and maintenance goals, while also meeting quality, accuracy, and safety objectives.

Pay Rate: $21.00/HR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Improve reliability of equipment. Many types

Follow (/may create) automation, maintenance, or other related procedure/documents

Provide, attend, and coordinate Automation/other trainings

Seek and conduct improvements in automation and other areas

Able to work alone or in teams.

Troubleshoot equipment issues, conduct proactive or reactive equipment maintenance safely and with a sense of urgency.

Repair or replace damaged parts as needed: sensors, cards, printers, boards, motors, cables, etc

Ensure that systems and equipment are serviced, programed, and adjusted to their best

Create, install, test, modify and/or troubleshoot computer, electronics, electrical, control, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems to make them reliable and as safe as posible.

Assist other departments personnel with new product testing, assembly, and possibly design

Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions on process control systems follow safety and food safety rules. Perform job duties safely, keep items clean, area clean, etc

Complete work orders, emails, daily recap reports, purchase requisitions, and other documents.

Report to Automation manager or filling manager

Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma compatible or higher level of education a plus

Flexible availability and reliable transportation

1 - 3 years of maintenance Automation experience

Excellent understanding of safety protocols, such as lock out tag out and outstanding common sense about safety

Working knowledge of some/all the following: computers, Microsoft Windows software, industrial/food mfg equipment troubleshooting, Electrical drawings, PLC troubleshooting experience, computer, electronics, electrical, control, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical system
