**Our distribution center in Ashley, IN, is currently hiring for a Transportation Technician B or C on 2nd shift (Monday-Friday 2:30pm-12am)!

General Summary:** Provides safe, effective and efficient preventative and repair maintenance to all Family Dollar Transportation equipment. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Performs all necessary repairs to all systems, sub-systems and components to tractors, switchers and trailers with the exception of engine and transmission components.
2. Mounts and dismounts tires.
3. Brands and places tires in inventory.
4. Performs periodic FHWA inspections, inbound equipment inspections and PM follow up work.
5. Assists in maintaining an accurate parts inventory system.
6. Assists Maintenance Supervisor and lead technician (NCDC only), as needed.
7. Follows set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety.
8. Maintains an organized work area and promotes a safe working environment within the Transportation department.
9. Follows all Company policies and procedures.
10. All other duties as assigned.
