Aerotek Machine Tear Down in Arcola, Illinois

URGENTLY HIRING TEAR DOWN MECHANICS!

Pay: $18 - $20

Shift: first shift; 6AM - 4:30PM, Monday-Friday- OT available

Description:

  • Large machinery teardown

  • Disassembling of various pieces of equipment attached to railroad cars

  • All custom work for the railroad industry - large equipment that is used to pull/replace tracks

  • Best experience is maintenance, heavy industrial assembly, working on custom projects in manufacturing, mechanics, farm hands, prior entry level welding experience

  • Example of job: Railroad cars will come into shop requiring various repairs. Candidate will disassemble/reassemble and change parts on large equipment attached to railroad carts using various hand/power tools. Will use torch/plasma cutter occasionally (will train). Will utilize blueprints/schematics to ensure accuracy of each job. Custom work (each repair could be different)

  • Experience working with hydraulics are a plus

  • Tear down/Repair/Full build of railroad machines/equipment

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Enjoys working with hands and tearing things down and putting them back together

  • Willingness to learn and work hard

  • Experience with power tools and hand tools

  • Blueprint or schematic experience

  • Good mechanical aptitude (farm hand/mechanic/mechanical assembly/welding)
