Sauder Woodworking Co 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician in Archbold, Ohio

Sauder Woodworking is looking for a Maintenance Technician. Join an experienced team to improve the reliability and safe operation of all production equipment by providing expertise and ensuring the performance and dependability of equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Responsible for maintaining the reliability of equipment in assigned areas.
  • Helps to implement and promote TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
  • Troubleshoots and edits ladder logic online with PLC's and their associated software. Knowledgeable of PLC hardware.
  • When an electrical/electronic component fails such as an AC drive, demonstrates the ability to specify a substitute component and successfully modify any wiring or programming to restore functionality.
  • Troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, & electrical systems on all equipment utilizing electrical prints & multi-meter and capable of utilizing notebook PC and programming software.
  • Aligns, levels, and calibrates components.
  • When a mechanical component fails demonstrate the ability to specify a substitute component and successfully modify the design to restore functionality.
  • Identifies, repairs, and replaces worn components.
  • Utilizes the CMMS to create, maintain, and close work orders and time cards; research and/or order parts; document work-order status and/or other pertinent information.
  • Provides technical training/assistance to others.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION / SKILLS:

  • High school education with electrical and mechanical experience
  • Advanced mechanical skills
  • Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Self-motivated and self-directed to work efficiently without close supervision
  • Must be comfortable working above ground at various heightsExcellent attendance record
